Qigong for Low Back Pain – Traditional Chinese Medicine Physical Therapy
Lower Back Pain affects millions of people, and is largely due to excess sitting and repetitive motion, although can also be caused by tension held after physical or emotional trauma. In this gentle mind/body exercise routine, we release patterns of energy held in the muscles and fascia to release the constriction and tightness that so often are the underlying cause of chronic pain. These bioenergetic exercises, or Qigong, use breathing exercises combined with stretching, twisting, and flowing movements to create a moving meditation that heals body and mind.
